There are many doctors and surgeons overseas and across Australia who offer breast implant removal surgery without the necessary training, experience or aftercare. It is simply not worth the risk. All the Surgeons at Just.Cos have received comprehensive focal cosmetic specific training from some of the most experienced Surgeons in Australia and abroad. Furthermore, all patients receive comprehensive aftercare.
Once your procedure is complete, it is normal to experience some pain and discomfort. This should be relatively mild and your surgeon or doctor may prescribe you pain medication. The initial amount of time that the average patient feels sore for is between 1-2 weeks. You may return to light exercise from a minimum of 4 weeks, depending on how you feel and recommendations from your surgeon.
You may be able to drive a week after your surgery; however, this is only if you have a full range of motion back with your arms. Additionally, it is important not to drive if you are under certain pain medications. Your surgeon can give you advice regarding certain pain medications and driving.
For a period of 8-12 weeks after your breast implant removal surgery, you should sleep on your back. This eliminates the risk of damaging your incisions through excessive pressure. It is important to let your incisions heal in order to recover smoothly and efficiently.
A patient’s recovery period from breast implant removal can vary; however, you should wait roughly 2 weeks for your swelling and initial discomfort to subside. You may return to light exercise from a minimum of 4 weeks, depending on how you feel and recommendations from your surgeon. Only return to your daily routine when you feel comfortable to do so.
